Finally!
This current release (upgrade from the preview) seems solid so far. I’ve been using it for awhile now and haven’t had any issues like I had using the preview version. The syncs are fast and they don’t seem to be getting stuck with only a few files left to download.
I made sure that I started by deleteing all old versions of OneDrive before downloading the updated version. I suspect those that are having problems are still dealing with the gremlins of the preview version. Next, I made sure to include the command line entries in Terminal BEFORE launching OneDrive for the first time. Once launched, OneDrive found my school Office 365 account and immediately started to sync the data to my chosen folder. I chose to use a diffeernt folder than what I was using with the preview version.
I’m hopeful for this latest release. For now I will be happy with just being able to sync my data from my Office 365 account to my computer. Other features will surely come!
For me, it doesn’t matter that I have to complete 2 command line entries. That took me less than 10 seconds. The services is working and I’m smiling. And deploying this App in an Image is easy. Ive create many different OSX images (Mini, iMac) with Apps that have been download from the App Store. OneDrive is just like any other App. Start with a fresh OS install (or image master machine), download your software, complete the software updates, adjust preferences and enter the OneDrive command line entries and then create your image and deploy. DONE!
