Quality Control is Quite Bad

Every release OneDrive for Business on a Mac breaks. Save yourself the suffering.

The quality control on the Office365 family of applications for Mac is questionable at best, but OneDrive is by far the worst of the bunch. I have yet to see OneDrive operate without a stupid problem. From silly file name issues to this releases issue of being unable to authenticate to Microsoft’s own services, OneDrive is plagued by obvious issues that should have been picked up during a routine QA check. Sloppy coding and sloppy QA results in a sloppy and unreliable product. I would recommend NOT depending on OneDrive to do what Box, DropBox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, and other cloud storage services do well for business — actually work in a reliable manner. Microsoft doesn’t get cloud — success is built on trust. OneDrive is not helping build that trust.
