No Corp Account Access?

This will not sync with my work Corporate Account - I have to use the web view for my work Office 365 One Drive Account. So this is not of any use to me. Please fix? Be a great use for this.

Does not work

I am disappointed, why cant Microsoft pull this off?

Useless for corporate users

Can’t sign in with my enterprise account… which was surprising because when I followed the online instructions on Microsoft.com to use Onedrive with my enterprise account it told me to download this app.

OneDrive 17.3.x works fine

I just installed OneDrive. Works fine. Not sure what the problem is that others are experiencing. My connection is slow, so syncing takes a while. I was able to connect to all the folders and optionally select the folders I wanted to sync. I can only assume that when choosing the option to sync everything, it’s going to take a long time to copy the files and folders over to one’s Mac. I use a personal account. The software overall seems to be more straightforward and simpler than the Windows version. Finder and menu bar integration is excellent. My only complaint would be the rather blurry graphics and poor text anti-aliasing used in the log-in windows. I would have expected Microsoft to implement crisp, clear graphics and text for the log-in windows to keep it consistent with the rest of the Mac OS interface - an issue that Microsoft could easily fix. That aside, I still recommend using this software.

Doesn’t work with OneDrive for Business accounts

Which renders it useless in some ways..

Poor quality

I am using OneDrive on El Capitan. To put it simply, OneDrive is not worth using at the moment. As others have mentioned, you cannot access your university or work account and I find this app crashes quite a bit and take a long time to sync compared to other cloud services. This is extremely disappointing since the upgrades in other Microsoft apps have been impressive and welcome improvements.

love it

this update allows you to access your one drive directly from safari. You can now “save as” directly to one drive. I love this feature it works great and it syncs quickly to all my other devices including the app on my iPhone. in the latest version of word, powerpoint, excel you can access your one drive without going into finder and when a new file is created it shows up in your finder under your one drive folder almost immediately. Oh ya you can now sign into one drive with a buisness or school account.

Why from the App store?

So we use OneDrive for Business and I find it unacceptable to have to run Terminal commands just to get this wo work with a business account. Second….why is it only available from the App store????? HOW DOES THAT MAKE DEPLOYING IT IN AN IMAGE WORK???? This is one of the stupidest ways of creating an app I have EVER seen. You would think they would make it easier for an enterprise deployment. Instead you make the process completely ridiculous.

Useless App Without a Pause Button

Without a pause button, like its competitors Google Drive, DropBox, and Box.com have, this app is useless to anyone on the road, or at home, that does not want it to eat bandwidth and battery in the background. Microsoft said they are working on it a year ago, and still no update. I uninstalled it and recommend any of the ones mentioned above.

Bandwidth hog

My internet access has ground to a halt since I installed OneDrive. A quick online search (with OneDrive off) brought to light that OneDrive crippling internet access is a common complaint. The response from Microsoft on the OneDrive uservoice was "Thanks for the suggestion. It’s a reasonable feature and we would like to deliver it on Mac (and Windows). We’ll be thinking about it.” I opted for the Office 365 annual fee because of the promise that I would have 1Tb of cloud storage. Well after 3 days my 8.5 Gb folder still has not fully uploaded. I have had to turn OneDrive off during the day so the internet is accessible. Until Microsoft finishes "thinking about it” I would recommend iCloud or DropBox over OneDrive. What is the point of having a Tb if you cannot use it? I don’t mind it taking time to uploada large file I just want to be able to set the ammount of upload bandwidth that is available for OneDrive to use. Nice concept, but poor execution.

Finally!

This current release (upgrade from the preview) seems solid so far. I’ve been using it for awhile now and haven’t had any issues like I had using the preview version. The syncs are fast and they don’t seem to be getting stuck with only a few files left to download. I made sure that I started by deleteing all old versions of OneDrive before downloading the updated version. I suspect those that are having problems are still dealing with the gremlins of the preview version. Next, I made sure to include the command line entries in Terminal BEFORE launching OneDrive for the first time. Once launched, OneDrive found my school Office 365 account and immediately started to sync the data to my chosen folder. I chose to use a diffeernt folder than what I was using with the preview version. I’m hopeful for this latest release. For now I will be happy with just being able to sync my data from my Office 365 account to my computer. Other features will surely come! For me, it doesn’t matter that I have to complete 2 command line entries. That took me less than 10 seconds. The services is working and I’m smiling. And deploying this App in an Image is easy. Ive create many different OSX images (Mini, iMac) with Apps that have been download from the App Store. OneDrive is just like any other App. Start with a fresh OS install (or image master machine), download your software, complete the software updates, adjust preferences and enter the OneDrive command line entries and then create your image and deploy. DONE!

Works Great

Have been using one drive for over a month now across all our families devices (11 Mac products). I’ve resigned to the fact that I need Mac hardware with some Microsoft software :). It works great. We’ve deleted Dropbox. No issues with quality, performance, and accessibility.

Poor Quality, Data Hog.

I moved from living in the MS ecosystem, to a Mac recently. The absoloute horendous quality of this app has made me decide to look elsewhere to store my stuff. The app is buggy, crashes regulairly and seems to be in a constant state of downloading “things”. No idea what, as I am 100% synced. Overall, look elsewhere for a stable cloud storage solution. Oh, and MS’s little stint taking away my cloud storage p**sed me right off.

the worst app ever

i used onedrive one my macbook pro and it always tells me that my university account does not exist

Always “Processing files…"

Always seems to be “processing files…”, have to restart the app for it to work again (could be just a status update issue, not an actual sync issue). Sync takes a long time. Sometimes, I’ll have to restart app for it to detect new files to download / upload.

Ugh!

OneDrive for Business still doesn’t work!

Still does not connect to business account

Error message every time I attempt to add a school account. Works ok with personal account. FIX THIS!

*Boom*…It crashes!

Just like you predicted Microsoft…I can’t even connect to my personal account, let alone OneDrive for Business…Another fail!

SOS

One drive for Business has stopped working and the applicaiton does not work after the redirect to our company authenticaion .. where it fails with a messaging saying “ There was a problem connecting ot OneDrive - check internet connection adn try again” - Internet is working fine.. this is a critical issue.. Please advice how to get around this , causign a significant barrier to working with my teams

Cannot cope with normal-length paths

Synchronization is virtually useless to me as it is unable to cope with paths of a normal length on a Mac. Fine for the odd file, but not able to synchronize actual directories. I see a claim from Microsoft that it can now handle 430 characters but that is not true in this version at least: it fails for me for paths way under 300 characters.
