Excitedly tried the “BOOM” “fix” and then “BOOM” was accurate … taking the “fail fast” agile goal to heart.

One drive is the worst app I have ever used. One drive personal is bad but at least uploads and syncs files. If you add a one drive for business account it will not sync files and will destabilize your system. What good is 1TB of cloud storage if it doesn’t work. Shameful.
you click update and nothing happens. Is this a prank from apple???
Very disappointed with the quality control….
DESKTOP SYNC CLIENT ON MAC CONSTANTLY STUCK ON LOG-IN. NOT TRUE WITH PHONE APP. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
Cannot even enter credentials on log in page
When adding multiple accounts (consumer versus for business), there is no way to tell if one or the other are actually attached to the OneDrive client, and the preferences will only show one or the other, not both. This is problematic when trying to deploy Office 365 services to customers, or just having a business sync folder and a personal sync folder. At this rate, I would rather just use this for business and use another sevice for syncing personal documents. It’s a shame, too, because OneDrive for Business (and it’s sister service, SharePoint Online) are quite nice services in general.
Not sure what fix you have applied for syncing with business but it is still NOT working! Just downloaded the updates in still an issue.
now I can use onedrive again on my mac after the broken one last week.
The latest update fixed the login issue. This is a good app.
Unfortunaltely I am stuck with having to use this system for now, but want to help spare you the pain of dealing with it. I came from (and use pwersonally) dropbox. It is diificult to navigate and use, sharing files is awkward, and the online portal is as confusing as ever. Recently it stopped syning on me randomly, and when I started the sync back, it erased all my work I had done on my local drive inorder to “sync” with the cloud drive—UNEXCEPTABLE. Just simply amazing, but not surprising Microsoft has created yet another clunky piece of software.
I hate it now. I just reformated my MacBook so that my OSX partition is now in the form of HFS Journaled with case Sensitive format. And now I cannot use this OneDrive because I cannot create folder on case sensitive hard disk…. please fix this, I don’t know the logic behind this issues, but keeping in mind that iCloud, Google Drive, and DropBox works just fine, I just can’t wrap my head around why this shouldn’t be the case for OneDrive
It’s just not working. What once worked, doesn’t, and after 2 updates nothing has been fixed. Once upon a time, it was reliable - albeit confusing, and never leaving me feeling completely secure. Better stated, I was really looking forward to having all my files under one roof, and transitioning to working (for work) exclusively from/on the cloud. I’m going backwards now. When working properly, this is a 3.5 star app. Unfortunately the discussion is not on making a good product great; rather, we’re all wondering when OneDrive is going to work again, if ever. Lastly, it’s part parcel of of my monthly paid plan… c’est terrible.
The newest update fixed my business problem where it had stoped working with the prior update but I had to re-link to fix this. I had to unlink the account from my mac, and resetup the onedrive business account and it works fine now. After I unlinked the account I renamed the old folder just as a backup option. Then I went through and added a business account and it downloaded all my files back again and is working perfectly fine now. I have since deleted the old folder I kept for safe keeping.
I don’t even think microsoft is trying on this one… –Poor UI/UX –Annoying utility –Needs to benchmark with the competition (googledrive & dropbox) –Syncing options are crap.
After applying the latest update I can no longer log into OneDrive. Broken for both my corporate Office 365 and my personal MS account. Has an issue with the login keychain, but I am not prompted to put in the keychain. I tried deleting associated login keychains, but one always recreates itself automatically. Both accounts were working fine before applying this latest update.
How is it that all other cloud services can work with a case-sensitive file system but OneDrive cannot? Maybe it should be called somedrive.
1. it crashes mid-sync :-( 2. doesn’t recognize folder “Alias” like the dropbox app does
Finally, Finder support. It is a little annoying you have to go enable it in Preferences, but at least it is there. Now OneDrive for Business works!
I’ve been using OneDrive since the Skydrive days and was an early adopter. With multiple Macs and Windows computer at the office it quickly became the tool that helped me just “work”… Rather that sending files through my email that I was going to work at night. This client runs, syncs my files, I don’t even have to think about it. OneDrive continues to work consistently and I rely on it every day. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Microsoft for the multi-platform use, you’ve done good here.
