OneDrive App Reviews

Missing Sharepoint integration is unacceptable

It might do what is supposed to (or not - see other reviews), but what is unacceptable to me is that it replaces a onedrive sync client that had sharepoint integration to one that doesn’t! This is the only reason I want to use it since syncing personal files works much better with dropbox or onedrive anyway!

App doesn’t work for iMac/macbook..

Agree with the last review- works from all other means (even iPad) but not in the app for iMac/macbook. Very frustrating; limits the ability to effectively use OneNote across multiple one drives. Definitely suited for a PC, limited for mac,

Cant Get it to Login on 360 account

I can login using my hotmail account, but i cant login using my 360 account (school account), its like MS wants you to dump apple and moe to MS

Won’t let me log in...

I have a Office365 account and downloading and and troubleshooting this app is a total waste of time. I was not able to log in. Quick google search shows everyone has this problem. Going back to dropbox.

Useless… typical Microsoft quality

i have an office 365 account and a bunch of docs in the one drive section and thought this would save me the headache that is Microsoft efficiency of opening browser, going to 365 login page, logging into 365 via browser browser, selecting i want to see one drive files, selecting the file, waiting for it to load a preview mode, then selecting that i want to edit it, then waiting for it to download, then selecting i want to edit it, again, by having the files locally on my computer. Of course its not that easy. this app failed to recognize my login for 365. apparently i have to make a microsoft account to use the one drive app, and link it to my 365 account so i can access the files i already have. well i went through the headache of trying to do that, so now i can login with this useless one drive app, but its in a separate one drive than my 365 account. At this point im just going to find a better product to use rather than fool around with this anymore and i recomend that you do too and save yourself the time i wasted trying to get this useless app to work. Microsoft should be ashamed of their effort on this.

OneDrive Enteprise !?

Similar to the iOS version, this app should be able to connect an Enteprise OneDrive. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. Hence my OneDrive with my University account is simply not managable through the finder…….

Doesn’t work with OneDrive for Business accounts! Why???

Totally useless if are using a OneDrive or Office for Business which is shocking since Microsoft’s bread and butter is the enterprise business market. Back to Google Drive and iCloud. Shame, as I really wanted to give Microsoft a chance to demonstrate their connected cloud strategy. FAIL.

Cannot Connect to Business Accounts

Very disappointed that I can only use this with a personal Microsoft account and not a business one. I really wanted to easily access files on my business OneDrive account, but I am unable to do it with this app. Please update the app to fix this.

Not Happy

I do not understand what they have asked me to do concerning my one drive. I am not impressed with this one drive. I have until October 16/15 to changed something in this one drive. If I can not do this then I will lose some pictures. I have downloaded it on my Mac Pro Laptop. I am not a happy person.

Unusable!

App immediately crashes upon opening. Running public release of El Capitan. Used to work fine before.

Terrible update

This update pretty much stops OneDrive from updating - how do I roll back to a previous version?

Much improved

This latest version works perfectly. The only issue is the windows/Mac issue with file names. No file name can include certain signs - * ( “ and so on. Apart from that though it works wonderfully well without crashes like previous versions.

Login issues

My university has an enterprise domain that uses office 365 and includes onedrive, but the onedrive Mac app doesnt forward to the enterprise login page properly so I can’t log in at all

Never stops processing changes, and never updates cloud files

This update does not work. Best not to install this one until the bugs are fixed. Bugs in supposed “updated" versions of apps (and Windows itself) are why I abandoned Microsoft years ago. Goodbye OneDrive, hello Google Drive.

Broken

Starts on my mac for 3 seconds then quits… this has only just become an issue.

Can’t access to my university account

well, this app can’t access to my university account like its mobile version! Fix it!

works fine

It’s working fine in my El Capitan. Hopefully Microsoft releases Onedrive for Business soon as I need it as well

Works Great For Me

I am using it on El Capitan with no issues at all. It’s fast, and I’ve never had a problem with it. I was really surprised to see all of the negative reviews on here.

Time to Write This One Off

Microsoft was once a proud, quality software company. Now it’s the shambled home of sub-par poor excuses for apps. OneDrive is a good example of this. The company has known for years now about the bugs in this app. Like, if you use long file names, it fails catastrophically. Or how the sync engine is molasses slow. And if you try to get support, and I have, you get the time-wasting run-around of a company at war with itself (like, common excuse not to help: it’s not a OneDrive, it’s something else — Word, Excel, the price of oil — anything else). It’s getting embarassing. To save this once-proud company the growing shame, it’s time to agree that OneDrive is simply a failure. It’s dead. It’s not worth the time any of us might spend fighting its poor quality, and it’s certainly not worth our collective time. Don’t install this app on your Mac. Walk away and choose a different solution. There’s tremendous problem here, but Microsoft has proven through years of failure that it can’t deliver on those promises. It’s too bad, really. This could have been great.

won’t let me sign in?

I have an email for school but it doesn’t work for organizational accounts. Please add this function in the next update
